About Us
Children’s Chamber Music Education Fund is a not for profit educational organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our Mission
To inspire, nurture, develop and educate children of all ages, ethnicities, cultural & socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our Vehicle
Instrumental music played by violin in an ensemble (Chamber Music) at the highest level attainable by each member as an individual and as part of the group.
Our Process
Students take one or more private lessons per week. Professional musicians both play with and coach students on pieces which are being prepared for upcoming performances. Students participate in chamber music concerts several times per year in addition to the annual violin/chamber music symposium where they collaborate with world famous guest artists.
Symposium activities include private lessons, rehearsals, master classes, techniques classes, and a final concert. The Children’s Chamber Music Education Fund sponsors the symposium and also provides financial support to students whose parents are not able to pay for all or part of the fees associated with these activities.
It is our hope that by having the opportunity to learn to play the violin and chamber music through the many classes, rehearsals, workshops, and by participating in the fundraising activities associated with this fund, students will become better human beings, become more sensitive to what is happening around them, and have more compassion and generosity of spirit toward others.
Financial support is needed to help us accomplish these worthy goals, which are crucial to the success of the next generation and beyond.
Thank you for your generous support,
Dr. Sharon Rothstein, President
